Summer Football School
Our club is hope to hold a Summer Soccer school during week Monday 19th July - Friday 23rd July 2010. The football school will go ahead only if we have enough boys and girls participating (approx 40). The football school will run each day from 10am to 2.30pm and will cost £45.00 for the week. Our youth coaches have agreed to coach your children for the week and we would hope that on one of the days, possibly Thursday 22nd July we would travel to Rossnowlagh for the day - football and swimming etc. Again this would depend on parents willing to drive to the beach. If you are interested in your child attending please tell your youth manager or myself (Ian Hood) in order to collate numbers. If we agree to the Summer Soccer School a full itinerary will be drawn up which includes what your child will get for their £45.00.
Also some parents ordered tracksuits before christmas for their children -at last these are now available.
Club members are reminded that Club Polo shirts are available for the new season, from David Phair, cost just £10.
Weekly Club Notes
All players are advised that pre season training commences this Saturday at the Clubhouse.
Please be ready to start at 1 30 pm.
Jimmy has been busy working on a number of pre season friendlies against quality opposition. On Saturday 24th July we are at home to Dungannon Tigers from the Mid Ulster league and on Saturday 7th August we entertain Comber Rec.They play in section 1A of the Amateur League, which is Intermediate standard. There is a possibility that the Rec may bring a second team down to play our seconds, this is to be confirmed. On Wednesday 10th we again face Intermediate opposition as NFC Kesh are our visitors.Subject to the date for the commencement of the Mercer League being finalised as 21st August, we propose to entertain Clones,a very strong team, on Saturday 14th. Jimmy is also still working to agree a fixture with Loughgall, although nothing has been finalised so far.Further details on kick off times will be provided in future club notes.
No winner of the Lotto and next week the jackpot will be £5700. Numbers drawn were 1 6 9 24.£15 consolation prizes to Vernon Graham,Janice Kenny,Dick McCleery and James McGrath (sen).
